Our plastic deer fencing is made from a tough, high density plastic which makes the mesh very light-weight but extremely strong. The black colour makes the fencing unobtrusive so that it easily merges into the background.

The deer fencing is rot proof, has high tensile strength, and has been UV stabilised for long lasting protection against deer. Given that the mesh is flexible, we recommend that our galvanized line wire is used for added support between fence posts.

  • Material: Black plastic (Polypropylene).

  • Weight per square metre: Approx. 80 grams.

  • Hole size: 50mm x 50mm (2 inch x 2 inch).

  • Roll Heights: The heights of the rolls are manufactured to metric measurements. We have rounded the imperial height conversion up to the nearest ft or inch for simplicity. The accurate metric and imperial heights are as follows: 1800mm (71 inch) high.

All measurements +/- 15%. If you require a micrometer reading of the wire thickness then please call us on 01782 820 970.

Name* Product Question*

I want to create a deer fence along a line of trees about 100m long. Which of your products would you recommend for this application? I was thinking of 2m x 12.5m 50mm x 50mm 14g mesh - do you think this is appropriate?

Thank you for your e-mail.

The 50mm x 50mm 14g welded mesh should be suitable for keeping out deer. At 2 metres, this roll is sufficiently high and the 2mm thick wire provides a decent level of strength to the mesh. We also offer a high tensile plastic deer fencing which is lightweight but strong. The plastic deer fence would require tension wire to provide the mesh with structure.

Do you supply a one metre high roll x 100 meters in length?

We are looking for a durable net to keep deer out at the lowest part of the fence.

Thank you for the e-mail.

The deer fence is only available in the 1.8m x 100m roll. There is quite a bit of flexibility to the netting, and it could be folded over. Alternatively, the netting can be cut down to size with a sharp pair of kitchen scissors.

How long does this product last?

Dear Mr Cole,

Thank you for your enquiry. The life expectancy for the deer fence is 5 – 7 years.

What is the best method of supporting the fence. Can you supply in lengths less than 100m.

Thank you for your enquiry.

You can use either timber posts or our tubular metal post system. It is important to include 4 – 5 runs of fully tensioned line wire between posts, then clip the fence to the posts and the line wire.

If you need help with the exact materials please do not hesitate to contact me.

All present and correct

Order placed on Thursday morning and received on Friday. All components of the order were present and correct. Just keeping fingers crossed that the new fencing will keep out the deer.

Thank you for providing an excellent service.

Delivery Information

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Information

We are processing and dispatching orders as normal, and orders are usually dispatched either the same day or the next Working Day. Due to high pressures on all courier networks, some delays and split deliveries may be possible (please allow up to 2 Working Days for Express Deliveries and up to 4 Working Days for Standard Deliveries, excluding weekends and Bank Holidays). A slightly longer lead time may apply to certain postcodes, but this will be made clear in the Delivery Options at the Checkout.

Having anticipated short supplies of goods at the beginning of the year, we have filled our warehouse with stock. Whilst a certain product may be out of stock on our website, we will have an alternative option available which will be in stock – please feel free to ask our live chat agents for alternatives if you cannot find a suitable product for your application.

We may find that over the next few days or weeks that the speed of service we take pride in providing may be delayed slightly, either due to the requirement for staff members to self-isolate, or due to the pressures on the courier networks. Should this issue arise, we will do our very best to keep you fully informed, and rest assured that we will do everything possible to dispatch and deliver your order. If we could ask that you bear with us that would be very much appreciated, especially in the case of potential delivery issues. Some delivery delays may be unavoidable, as all UK courier networks are at full capacity due to  unprecedented levels of deliveries, combined with a potential shortage of drivers due to self-isolation requirements.
