Our wire mesh and netting cutter, also known as an aviation cutter, is ideal for cutting wire up to 1.6mm thick. It can also cut sheet metal up to 1.2mm thick. The tool has a scissor action using mechanical leverage to generate the cutting power. The cutter also has a spring to automatically return the tool to the open position after each cut.
For heavier mesh (with a thicker wire than 1.6mm), we recommend using our large diagonal wire cutter for wire up to 3mm thick.
Are the fence pliers suitable for cutting 13mm x 13mm 19 gauge wire mesh fencing?
Thank you for your enquiry.
The Fence plier is suitable for cutting 19 gauge wire mesh. If you are only planning to use this product to cut 19 gauge wire mesh, I would suggest using the wire mesh and netting cutter as it will be easier to use.
