Our 15g welded wire mesh is manufactured in Europe, and has a high quality pre-galvanized finish i.e. the wire has been hot dipped galvanized before welding to protect the mesh from rusting.
This product is a medium-weight welded wire mesh, which is perfect for strong cat pens, and is used by commercial catteries. The mesh is European made to exacting specification, which makes it the ideal choice for fitting onto enclosure framework. The mesh is also a good choice for other animal enclosures, such as fox proof chicken enclosures / rabbit runs, and fencing for small to medium sized dogs. It can also be used for general garden use and fencing applications.
The 15 gauge wire (approx. 1.8mm thick) makes the mesh stronger and more rigid than chicken wire netting or light-weight welded mesh.
All measurements +/- 15%. If you require a micrometer reading of the wire thickness then please call us on 01782 820 970.
I want to make a cowling to go over the top of a chimney stack. What mesh would you recommend?
Thank you for the enquiry.
A 25mm x 25mm hole welded mesh will keep larger birds out, such as pigeons, crows, jackdaws. If you want to keep out smaller birds as well, then you should use 13mm x 13mm hole welded mesh. The 19 gauge lightweight mesh is strong enough to keep the birds out, but is quite flexible. If you require a stronger, more rigid mesh then please select 16 gauge.
Some of our customers use a stainless steel mesh for a longer lasting cowl
Hi,
I've just purchased the 25 x 25mm 15g wire mesh from you, what cutters would you recommend for this weight mesh that will last please?
Many thanks
Thank you for your e-mail.
We would suggest using the diagonal wire cutters for our 15g mesh
Thank you for your timely delivery and the lovely lady that answers the phone. Very pleasant and easy. Your website is great too. Like many of your customers I am a cat lover, that wants the best quality to make an outside area so my Savannah's can enjoy the big outdoors safely, and not run off into the neighbourhood.
I will come back for more.
